We have so much fun at the ISTE socials, thanks to Louise and Corinne and Kittygloom and others. This week was a barn dance complete with line dancing, country music, horses and pumpkins. What a way to welcome fall.

Blog Guilt
Is there such a thing as blog guilt? I feel badly that I don't write more. I think I'm too busy living my Second Life to write about it. It's all pictures, all fluff and no substance. I'm disappointed in myself. The problem is I have to leave SL to talk about SL and I love it too much to do that! I do want a record of how my life in SL changes, and what I'm involved in; so I guess I have to continue and do the best I can.

KJ's Speaker Series
Last night there was a meeting where the Director of the US Office of Education came to listen to teachers talk about their educational experiences in SL. They asked him questions and he listened and provided thoughtful answers. It was very interesting, attended by 80 avatars and ran overtime! :-)

ISTE Docent Day One
Here I am with my good friends, Mandie and Spiff, doing my first stint as an ISTE docent. Basically you stand on the ISTE HQ porch and greet people who come by, offering help and membership. I worked with Spiff from 7 AM to 8 AM Eastern Daylight time while he was in charge, and then 8 to 9 on my own. There were some visitors, one from Australia, but they were already ISTE members. It's a good way to meet people and is not very demanding. I'm supposed to volunteer a minimum of one hour a week. I think that will be easy to do. Maybe I will pick Wednesdays since my VB pals have sort of agreed to meet then. I will docent for an hour and then join them. :-)
