Before
I have a confession. I've been messing with my husband's avatar. :-P He could show up to see this Alamo Tour thing and I don't want to be embarrassed! He thinks he made his avatar look like himself. He didn't. If he had made it look like himself that would have been fine, but he made it look like a deformed toad. I have recreated him. He never signs on so he'll never know. Unless he DOES sign on.

I'm So Bad!
The Alamo Tours are Tonight!
The time has finally arrived! Alfredo and I have been practicing giving Alamo Tours at ISTE's NECC sim for weeks! I can't find my way out of a paper bag in real life and I had to learn voice to be effective, but I think I'm ready. We have our costumes and scripts. I have wanted to be a participant with ISTE in some way for so long, but feel inadequate for most of what they need. This is my first contribution. In the photo Alfredo and I are standing proudly by the display with volunteer names on it. Thanks, Kittygloom, that meant a lot to us!
Alfredo has found the best gestures for his monk at the Alamo! He can bless us and cross himself! I need a Vanna gesture that envokes, "Right this way, Folks!"

Science Friday
Okay. I don't get it. Yes, I was an hour late, but it seemed like there were about 30 avatars sitting in a circle listening to NPR's Science Friday on the radio. There was some local chat that I couldn't follow. I'll try it again on a Friday when I can get there at the beginning before I stop going all together. :-P

The Beach House
May 8th Jazmemo, Alfredo, and I moved into a beach house in Second Life! Jaz and I have had fun decorating it with furniture purchased at SL stores. We have a large gathering room with three sofas in it, a living room with a TV stocked by our landlord with movies, a game room with a Greedy table, a sunroom, three decks, two private changing rooms, and a bathroom. Don't know what to do with the latter and it's wasted space for us.
Jaz got a cat and I have my dog, Company, in the house most of the time. Others from VBCPS drop over once in a while and I have shown most of my SL friends where we are. Once in a while an impromptu party begins. Come on by. The more the merrier!

The Big Meeting
Last night we had a meeting at my house about VBCPS folks finding a home. I should start calling it our house I guess. ;-) We are going to see if the Connecticut House at Cheswick fills the bill.
There were seven of us there at one time or another, not all at once. The landlady added everyone as residents and they were able to rez items from their inventories. Alfredo had an especially good time rezzing loud boytoys like his helicopter and jet! Note to self: Help guys find a nearby sandbox for large items!
We have a living room for gathering, a game room for the Greedy table (unless no one is ever going to play), a men's room and a ladies' room for changing, or whatever. Maybe the Greedy room needs to be a conference room with a large table and a bunch of chairs around it. I think we need to go ahead and pay for more prims so we can decorate more. :-)
I can't wait to see if this experiment works. I think it will be fun, like living in a commune in the 60s! We will decide before May 10th if we want to continue.
